Salone Internazionale del Mobile Pt 3 - Design (Halls 5, 6, 7 10)

Sorry for the delay, guess I've been busy doing stuff, and haven't got around to filling in the rest of the Milan trip.

-Large structure among the central walk between the trade halls

-"do not sit" - this was still a prototype I guess, even though on display at a company booth

-cool layered affect on this lamp

-geometric rock like vases

-cool outdoor chairs - with a kinda rubbery woven material

-different take on a patio table and umbrella

-very different way to attach a shade canopyumbrella to a table

-nice bedside table and lamp

-I like the lamp

-very nice and minimalist side table

-some cool contour lines going on in these chairs

-cool chair with lace detail - after taking umpteen photos at this booth, the guy at the booth decided to talk to me, and after telling him I was an Industrial Designer, he said that they (Spanish company) are always looking for work by new designers, and if I had anything to feel free to submit/get in contact with them (not sure if how that kinda deal works out, but it's a thought)

-hexagons are so in right now

-pretty wood veneer lamp

-nice and simplistic chair

-rear detail of said chair

-this looks like airport furniture - albeit nice airport furniture

-apparently 100% recycled

-said recycled chairs

-really ornate/organic chairs - still pretty cool

-high gloss tables - the combo of the high gloss tops (glass?) and the chrome made for nice pieces

-very wireframe

-really nice tables(?) - don't remember which company did them, but nice

-Ikea-esque gas-assist injection moulded chairs - same company as the tables

-this table is a tree - or that's what I thought

-spacey lamp

-interesting wood side table

-glass and wood topped dining table

-detail of the glass and wood

-fancy white chairs

-detail of fanciness

-really nice white chairs - tried as I did, I couldn't quite capture the cool-ness that was going on in these chairs

-trying to capture the cool-ness

-folded sheet metal side tables

-Sofa by Ligne Roset

-Side tables by Ligne Roset

-side tables + ottoman by Ligne Roset

-Kvadrat clouds - by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Ligne Roset (and Kvadrat?)

-Cool hanging lamps by Ligne Roset

-detail of bottom of lamp

-detail top of lamp

-that's one giant clothesline pin type mechanism going on

-Very simple wooden chair

-At first glance, I thought the blue part was padded - it was just painted blue

-I think these chairs were making some reference to Canada - or so I thought I read in an article some months ago

-cool donut like lamps above these tables

-underside of said lamps

-another shot of the lamps

-floor lamp? - very floor-ed

-so the table legs could be accidentally unscrewed by your kids? - does manage to forgo fasteners, and makes for easily adjustable tables, and nice flat pack

-nice and simple wireframe chairs

-the materials combo - just because you can?

-2 materials combo in the chair - makes a bit more sense

-wavy coffee table - nice and 'quiet' design

-more organic/ornate chairs

-and more of them

-and a big muppet couch
